influence of Hispanics
Immensely popular throughout America's growing
Hispanic population, fresh tres leches cakes are making
serious inroads into the mainstream market.

of Texas' population growth (the Hispanic population
grew by 2 million in the state last year), and Beaumont,
Texas, is no exception. The bakers at local bakery La
Vaquita enjoy the opportunity to satisfy the cravings

The round cakes come in 10-inch, three-layer options
topped with fresh strawberries and chocolate pieces,

and Yesenia Romero are witnessing an uptick in business
as customers continue to gain familiarity with the
delicious cakes and other product the bakery offers
every day.
Their cake business is also doing quite well, and
customers increasingly bring in a photo of the cake
style they would like made for them. The cake decorators
here are skilled and gifted decorators, and no
challenge is too much.
" Every cake we make is tres leches, " Quijano points
out. " People love our cakes. They are very popular. "
Cakes come in multiple size options for convenience
from 8-inch rounds to three-layer quarter sheet cakes.
