t Las Hermanas 2, which opened
eight years ago on the southwest side
of Houston, owners Cesar Quijano
and Yesenia Romero are witnessing an uptick
in business as customers continue to gain
familiarity with the delicious breads, cakes,
and sweet breads the bakery offers every day.
" Now we have more customers, and they
know us, " Romero explains.
One of their most popular breads is
quesadilla salvadore├▒a, which they offer in
six-inch round shapes for the convenience.
Customers can select them with ease, and
often choose to purchase three or four
breads at one time.
Their cake business is also doing quite
well, and customers increasingly bring in
a photo of the cake style they would like
made for them. The cake decorators here
are skilled and gifted decorators, and no
challenge is too much.
" Every cake we make is tres leches, "
Quijano points out. " People love our cakes.
They are very popular. "
Cakes come in multiple size options for
the convenience of the customer, ranging
from 8-inch rounds to three-layer quarter
sheet cakes. They also make a one-eighth
sheet cake in three layers that is decorated
with vibrant colors.
Because of their continued success, the
bakery is planning for growth. A second
location is a possibility soon.
" We are thinking about a new additional
location, " Quijano says. " Our business has
grown. "
