Los consumidores dejarán de comprar
un producto cuando su precio original
haya subido una media del 40%, según
una nueva encuesta encargada por la
agencia de relaciones públicas especializada
Ingredient Communications y realizada por
SurveyGoo.
Se pidió a los encuestados que
seleccionaran el punto en el que dejarían
de comprar una selección de alimentos,
bebidas y productos de nutrición debido a
los aumentos de precios, usando una escala
de +5% a " Compraría este producto sin
importar el precio " .
Los ingredientes de alta calidad son
la clave. Los resultados de la encuesta

indican que los consumidores están
dispuestos a comparar precios para
compensar el impacto de las alzas
de los precios. Casi la mitad de los
encuestados (48%) dijo que había
cambiado a una marca más barata en los
tres meses anteriores como resultado de
los aumentos de precios, mientras que
el 26% dijo que había cambiado a una
marca de la tienda.
" Para los productos básicos, incluso un
porcentaje de aumento de precios grande
podría ser sólo una cuestión de centavos.
Por el contrario, un pequeño aumento
porcentual en el costo de un producto
de nutrición de primera puede medirse
en dólares o libras, " explica Richard
Clarke, director general de Ingredient
Communications.
En general, los resultados indicaron
que los compradores eran más inmunes a
los aumentos de precios en los productos
básicos de bajo costo. Por ejemplo, la
categoría en la que los consumidores
eran menos sensibles al precio era la
leche (productos lácteos), cuyo precio
podía aumentar en un promedio de 65%
