WEDDING CAKE TRENDS
As we move into 2025, new trends are shaping how
couples approach marriage and wedding planning - and
Gen Z is leading the charge. Here's what we're seeing for
the year ahead.
Unstable macroeconomic conditions bring uncertainty,
and 85% of engaged couples report that inflation has affected
or will affect their wedding plans. However, fewer
than half are adjusting their original plans, and 41% are
cutting down their guest lists, while 30% are tweaking
their budgets.

menu?, and then: If there was ever a bakery in my neighborhood,
what would I most want it to offer?' And that's what we'll be. "
Cakes, cookies, pies and more
In addition to cakes, New June will offer a same-day retail menu
on Friday and Saturday at the bakery. The retail menu will feature
an assortment of seasonal and classic single-layer " breakfast
cakes, " cookies, seasonal tarts and pies, and more These
items are made with the same intentionality as New June's
cakes, uncompromising in high-quality ingredients, nuanced flavors,
design-forward as a bakery standard.
Breakfast cake highlights include banana tea cake, salted caramel
with tahini cream cheese frosting; tasty cake candy cake,
fluffy yellow cake with peanut butter and glass chocolate ganache;
pumpkin tea cake, mini chocolate chips, and brown butter
cream cheese frosting; pistachio and rose semolina olive oil
cake; and classic chiffon strawberry shortcake.
Cookie flavors include Krispie cornflake marshmallow, matcha
cocoa swirl, confetti sugar cookie, cornflake snickerdoodle.,
brown butter poppy seed with fennel and oat, chewy lemon
with swirls of seasonal jam, brown butter chocolate chip, classic
chewy brownie and salted tahini caramel brownie.
Vintage Cake Designed Sugar Cookie come in Earl Grey &
Lemon; Saffron, Orange & Star Anise; and Salted Rosemary &
Lemon.
Pie options include caramelized honey pumpkin, spiced double-crust
apple and pear, cookies & tahini cheesecake, pumpkin
pie swirl cheesecake and carrot cake cheesecake.
Design
Located in a building rife with old-school charm on Girard Avenue,
Blizzard led the design herself. Saturated with hues of
pinks, blues, and yellows and a blend of mixed materials to form
the backdrop for New June's whimsical desserts while embracing
femininity at every angle. she created a space that feels
warm and joyous where guests will feel like they have walked
into something special. The space mirrors the care for aesthetics,
beauty and quality that is reflected in New June's cakes and
baked goods.
" I've dreamt of designing this bakery for years, slowly building
a must-haves list that spans many Pinterest boards. And the
best feature of all is the circle of friends and family who built and
contributed to it. My dad laid all of the flooring, tiled the pastry
counter, and hung almost everything you see. A childhood friend
painted the most beautiful floral painting and curated the gallery,
one of my dad's best friends did all of our carpentry. It feels
like a project that never would have happened if it weren't for
the luck and love of my community, " shares Blizzard.
