McArthur's Bakery turns over a new leaf
Under new ownership, longtime St. Louis retailer
McArthur's Bakery is undergoing a "brand refresh" that
includes more options of breads and sandwich breads,
including more whole wheat breads. Ben Abel, executive director (food services) of Live to Venture Holdings,
which bought McArthur's last October, explains that
customers today are looking for a richer experience
from their neighborhood bakery and McArthur's aims
to bring exactly that.

growth in sales
already."

the street from its current location, to a larger space.
Mid-July is the target opening date. The central kitchen will be used to produce deluxe sandwiches for all three of its St. Louis retail stores. Sandwiches will come on an increasingly wide
variety of breads, including sandwich buns, French rolls and wraps. "Our big mission is to truly
maintain everything McArthur's has done for 60 years, but continue to add on and really enhance the food menu."
